Neva Sullaway

Neva Sullaway is an author, editor and publishing consultant based in San Diego, CA. Sullaway has authored three non-fiction books with maritime themes: Chasing Dreamtime - A Seagoing Hitchhiker's Journey through Memory and Myth (multi-award winner, 2005); Sailing in San Diego - A Pictorial History (1991); One with the Wind - A Guide to Windsurfing in Australia (1980), and she contributed to A Diver's Guide to the West Coast (1972). While living in Australia, Sullaway was a photojournalist (1977-1982) covering sailing events and she developed a monthly sailing publication. After returning to the U.S., she studied film in San Francisco and produced an award-winning short film, Woodcarver. Sullaway published the Maritime Museum of San Diego's Journal of Pacific Maritime History for ten years (2006–2016), as well as their newsletter. Sullaway serves as a freelance editor and publishing consultant and has guided several authors successfully through the publishing process.
