Hi and welcome to the San Diego Professional Editors Network (SD/PEN) blog—just in case it’s your first time here. I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Andrea Susan Glass, your new blog editor. I’ll be posting a monthly blog designed to be of interest to SD/PEN members, potential members, and visitors.
You’ll see member profiles, as before, and in addition I’ll be posting interviews with UCSD Extension instructors in the Copyediting Certificate program. Many members of SD/PEN have been through all or some of these classes to enhance their profession of copyediting. Those who have not may be interested in finding out more about the classes and instructors in case they would like to build on their knowledge of copyediting to expand their professional career or business.
I also plan to include reviews of books and resources I feel professional copy editors would get value from. And I’m open to guest bloggers. If you have a topic you’d like to write about in approximately 500 words, send me an email at Andrea@WritersWay.com, and I’ll let you know if it fits in with the blog’s focus. Also email me if you have any ideas for blog topics you’d like to see.
